Kaitlyn Anne Vincie

Kaitlyn Ann Vincie, born 10th December 1987 was an American journalist and sports anchor. As reporter for Fox NASCAR, she presents on their weekly news and update program NASCAR Race Hub. Vincie's love for stock car racing began when she was issued an entry pass to the pit lane, following graduation from Christopher Newport University, she was a reporter at Langley Speedway. Vincie's self-made NASCAR videos were posted on SceneDaily which is a website that tracks stock cars. Vincie was born on December 10 of 1987 in Harrisonburg. She was raised in Bridgewater, Virginia before her family relocated to Warrenton to start her high school. Vincie is the daughter of John Vincie and Margaret, and she has one older sister. Vincie's maternal grandmother Eleanor N. Logan (a fifth-grade teacher) was her maternal grandfather who was a part of Bridgewater College's faculty. Journalism was something she'd always had an interest in since at an early age. Vincie completed her studies at Fauquier High School in 2006. She participated in track and field competitions, and was a coach of the school's team in wrestling for four years. She was victorious in the 800m event at the AAA Cedar Run District. Vincie got to know Al Pearce, a journalist who mentored her and provided Vincie many details. She graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2010 with an undergraduate degree in communications. Vincie worked as an intern for the university's athletics division. She also worked for Charlotte Motor Speedway's USAR Pro Cup Series. Vincie wrote her senior thesis on the subject of gender in auto racing that was focussed on Danica Patrick, a female race car driver. Vincie became interested in racing after she received a pit lane pass to the NASCAR All-Star Race. She mentions Krista Voda and Wendy Venturini as her inspirations.
