Alona Tal

 Alona Tal, an Israeli American actress and singer, was born October 20, 1983 in Herzliya. She began her career when she served in the Israeli Defense Forces. She made her acting debut in an Israeli film in 2003. In 2003, she was a part of two TV shows in Israel. She did some music as well by recording a few songs along with Israeli rapper Subliminal. Tal moved in with her sister in New York in order to get a break from her work. In the song "Party to Damascus" she was part of a collaboration with Wyclef Jean from Haiti. American television also helped her make a name for herself, beginning by playing a regular part on the television show Veronica Mars. She initially tried out for the role of lead, but the show's creator Rob Thomas created a new character for her. Then, Tal was offered a regular role in the CBS series. After making the move to New York, he appeared in two shows on TV in Israel. Wyclef Jean was her singing partner. Her mother tongue is Hebrew. Second place in the auditions for the role as Veronica Mars (2004). She was originally auditioned and Rob Thomas' second choice. Thomas loved her so much, he made the role of Meg Manning for her. Served in The Israel Defense Forces. Both her parents are Jews--her father is Turkish/Jewish while her mother is Polish/Jewish. The character is the daughter of Adrian Monk's murdered wife in the last episode of the final season of Monk (2002).Has one daughter, Charlie Ferraez (b.March 7, 2017) and her husband Marcos A. Ferraez.
