Rosie Huntington Whiteley's acting debut was in 2009 in a short movie in where she played a friend who is unable to remember Valentine's Day. The actress made her feature film debut in 2011 in one of the most important roles in the action-sci-fi film 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon'. The film, inspired by characters from the popular toy line 'Transformers, it was the third film of the film series 'Transformers. Directed by Michael Bay, the film was a hit with actors Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Patrick Dempsey and Kevin Dunn besides Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The film was made with a budget less than $200 million, and made over $1 billion in the world. It is currently ranked as the 17th highest-earning film, and is also the fourth-highest-performing film at the time. It was nominated for the Oscars in three categories. Despite the film's success, Huntington-Whiteley's acting skills were met with criticism. She was also nominated for a Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actress. The next time she appeared was in the 2015 action movie 'Mad Max: Fury Road' which was co-written, directed, and co-produced by George Miller. The film was the fourth in the Mad Max series, after the films Mad Max' (1979), Mad Max 2 (1981) or 'Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985). The film received critical acclaim. The film was about the exploits of a policeman living in a dystopian Australia, which is currently experiencing a social crisis as well as a shortage of petrol and water because of wars.
