Rose McGowan

 

Rosa Arianna "Rose") McGowan was born on 5 September 7th, 1973. She is an American actress. McGowan's first film role was in the comedy Encino Man (1992), but she gained greater recognition due to her part in The Doom Generation (1995) in which she was awarded an Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Debut Performance. McGowan's debut came in the horror movie Scream in the year 1996. Later, she was the headliner of Jawbreaker (1999), Devil in the Flesh (1998), and Going All the Way (1997). In the decade 2000, McGowan became known to viewers on television for her performance in the role of Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural drama series Charmed (2001-2006). McGowan was also a mainstay in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) in which she was nominated both for the Saturn Award as Best Actress as well as the Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. McGowan was in the action thriller series Chosen (2014) and released her debut album, Planet 9, in 2018 and was followed by a repackaging in 2020. McGowan was honored by Time as one of the Silence Breakers, the magazine’s Person of the Year in 2017. She spoke out about harassment and sexual assault and , in particular, the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases. In 2018, she published Brave an autobiography, and appeared in Citizen Rose, a four-part documentary series.
