director. In 1995 she made her debut in a feature film with the independent
drama Kids. The roles she played in subsequent films include He Got Game
(1998), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), Men in Black II (2002), Rent (2005),
Sin City (2005), Clerks II (2006), Death Proof (2007), Seven Pounds (2008),
Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010), Unstoppable
(2010), Zookeeper (2011), Trance (2013), Top Five (2014) and Zombieland: Double
Tap (2019). Dawson is also a voice actor for work for Disney/Marvel and Warner
Bros./DC Comics as well as ViacomCBS's Nickelodeon unit.For her performance in
Rent, Dawson won the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion
Picture; for her performance in Top Five, she was nominated for the Critics'
Choice Movie Award for the Best actress in a comedy. Dawson was born May 9 1979
in New York City. Isabel Celeste, her mother is Afro-Cuban. Rosario was 16
years old at the time of her birth. Isabel never married Patrick C. Harris who
was her father in law. Rosario's mom, Greg Dawson, was a construction worker
when she was just one year old. In the marriage, Dawson has a half-brother,
Clay, who is four years her junior. Dawson is also known for her appearances in
comic adaptations to books. These include Gail in Sin City (2005), Sin City: A
Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) and Diana Prince/Wonder
Women on the DC Animated Movie Universe. She also voiced Barbara Gordon/Batgirl
on The Lego Batman Movie. She played Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian's second
season in 2020 and will also be appearing in the Disney+ original series
Ahsoka. She will also appear in Young Rock, an autobiographical comedy produced
directed by Dwayne John that will air in 2021.
