Jennifer Carpenter Bio

American actress Jennifer Leann Carpenter was conceived December 7 1979. Her roles include Debra Morgan in a Showtime series, for which she received a Saturn Award in 2009. She also was Rebecca Harris, whose role was featured on the CBS television show Limitless. Carpenter began her role as Erica Shepherd, the main character in The Enemy Within, an NBC drama The Enemy Within, in the year 2019. Carpenter's role in The Exorcism of Emily Rose was the most talked about. She won the 2006 MTV Movie Award for Best Frightened Performance. She was also awarded the Hollywood Life Breakthrough Award. She was also named "Breakout Performer" at the 2006 Scream Awards. In 2007, she began dating her Dexter co-star Michael C. Hall. They got married in California on New Year's Day 2008. Hall and Carpenter announced in December of 2010 that they were filing for divorce after being separated "for several years". They also made public appearances together at the Golden Globe Awards 66th edition in January of 2009. Carpenter and Seth Avett got engaged in February of 2015. Carpenter announced in August 2015 that she'd given the birth of one son in May, and that she was eight-and–a-half months pregnant while filming the pilot episode of Limitless. Carpenter and Avett were wed in May 2016.
